Redleaf (1899)

8 Redleaf Avenue

Redleaf was constructed for W.G Parish by the builder T. Nicholson.

A large two storey villa with Queen Anne  features, constructed of brown face brick with stone dressings, half timbering and shingles. The main roof is tiled in terracotta, and the verandah roof in shingles. The bay windows are typical of the Queen Anne style. The verandah features plain and simple timberwork.

Redleaf has won for architect Clive Lucas, of Clive Lucas, Stapleton and Partners, the highest restoration awards: the RAIA (NSW Chapter) Greenway Award 1996, RAIA Lachlan Macquarie Award for Conservation 1996 and the Ku-ring-gai Heritage Award 1998.
