SEPP5 (now Senior Living SEPP) rules have allowed developers to exploit loopholes and circumvent the original intention of the SEPP. A number of SEPP5 proposed multi-unit developments on or near heritage icons in Wahroonga have been refused by Council and the Court over the last few years. Much is due to substantial opposition by huge numbers of people in the community, and several highly active community groups such as BBK Wahroonga Inc. |
